Creating a Leave Request


Through the Papervee platform, you can create three types of leave requests. These are:


  • Vacation Leave Request;
  • Sickl Leave Request;
  • Other Types of Leave Requests.


The category "other types of leave requests" is managed by the administrators of the Papervee workspace. They can create various "special" leaves granted by the organization.


There are two ways to create a leave request:


Creating the Request on the Dashboard Page:


  1. Navigate to the dashboard page;
  2. Click on a day in the calendar or drag to select a range of days;
  3. In the modal that appears, select the type of leave you wish to request;
  4. The period will be automatically filled in based on the calendar selection. You can modify it if necessary.
  5. (optional) You can provide details about the reason for the request;
  6. If applicable, you can check if you want the weekend days (Saturday, Sunday) to be excluded from the leave period;
  7. If necessary, you may need to upload a supporting document for the leave request;
  8. To complete, click the "Submit Request" button.


Creating the Request on the Leave Page:


  1. Navigate to the Leave page;
  2. Click the "New Request" button;
  3. In the modal that appears, select the type of leave you wish to request;
  4. Choose the period for which you are creating the request;
  5. (optional) You can provide details about the reason for the request;
  6. If applicable, you can check if you want the weekend days (Saturday, Sunday) to be excluded from the leave period;
  7. If necessary, you may need to upload a supporting document for the leave request;
  8. To complete, click the "Submit Request" button.


Each leave request must be approved by a manager to take effect. Once you submit a request, it will automatically go to all managers who have the ability to approve the request. You will be notified via a notification and an email when the request is approved or rejected, and the status of the leave will reflect this.


A leave request document will automatically be created in your "My Documents" page when the leave request is made.


Editing a leave request


Only leave requests that have not yet been approved or rejected by a manager can be edited. If you change your mind about the details of a leave, you can navigate to the Leave page and next to the leave, click on the edit button (pencil symbol). You have the option to edit all the details of the request, except for the type of leave requested. After the modification, even the request document in "My Documents" will automatically be modified.


Deleting a leave request


Only leave requests that have not yet been approved or rejected by a manager can be deleted. If you wish to cancel a leave request, you can navigate to the "Leave" page and next to the leave, click on the delete button (trash can symbol). The reason for the deletion must be provided. After deletion, even the request document in "My Documents" will be automatically deleted. The leave days used in the request will automatically be reinstated in your account.
