What is "Manger Mode"

The Papervee platform has two distinct contexts. The initial context is that of an "employee," which provides the basic functions needed by an employee within the platform. The "employee" context is the default and can be accessed by any user with any role. This context allows the use of basic functions, such as time tracking, creation of leave requests, and setting individual work schedules.

Certain users can access the second context, the "manager mode". This context provides reports, centralized tables, and additional information, which HR managers can use for reporting and other human resources activities. At the same time, managers can access approval flows through this context and thus manage requests from other users.

Users with access to "manager mode" can take actions for other users, such as editing requests, adding missing time, creating missing requests, uploading documents, creating community announcements, or even setting the work schedule for multiple employees at the same time.

The "Employees", "Attendance Sheet", "Document Templates", "Reports", and "Settings" pages are accessible only by users with access to "manager mode".

Who can access the "Manager Mode"

The "manager mode" can be accessed by the following types of roles:

  • The Workspace Owner;
  • Users with the role of HR Manager (regardless of the level of permissions);
  • Users who are an Operational Manager over at least one other employee;
