Choosing the Operational Manager

When adding a new user, you will need to assign them one or more operational managers. The operational manager relationship is fundamental to the HR flows in the Papervee platform.

What are the HR Flows Managed by the Operational Manager?

Once a user becomes the operational manager of one or several employees, they will gain permission to access the "manager module" and, through this change of context, manage the following HR flows for the employees under their operational management:

  • Viewing and downloading the attendance sheet;
  • Creating, approving, rejecting, and viewing time records;
  • Creating, approving, rejecting, and viewing leave requests;
  • Setting and editing work schedules;
  • Creating recurrence templates for the work schedule module;
  • Creating, approving, rejecting, and viewing remote work requests;
  • Creating, approving, rejecting, and viewing overtime requests;
  • Viewing and editing individual employee profiles;
  • Viewing documents uploaded to employees' accounts.

Unlike users with the Owner or HR Manager role, a user with operational manager rights will only see data in reports and tables related to the employees for whom they are the operational manager.

Multiple Operational Managers

An employee can have multiple operational managers. All operational managers and users with the right to manage HR flows will receive new requests and inquiries at the same time, and any of them will be able to act on the request.
