Sub-projects are elements subordinate to projects. A sub-project will always be associated with a single project and implicitly with the client associated with it (if applicable). Multiple sub-projects can be assigned to a project. Time tracked on sub-projects accumulates in the time tracked on the main project.
Creating a new sub-project
To create a new sub-project, ensure you have the necessary rights in Papervee Projects. Follow the steps below:
- Navigate to the "Projects" page in Papervee Projects.
- Access the individual page of the desired project.
- Navigate to the "Sub-projects" section through the top menu.
- Click the "Add sub-project" button.
- Enter the name of the sub-project in the corresponding field.
- (optional) Enter the estimated number of hours needed to complete this sub-project.
- To finalize, click the "Add sub-project" button.
Modifying a Sub-project
To modify a sub-project, ensure you have the necessary rights in Papervee Projects. Follow the steps below:
- Navigate to the "Projects" page in Papervee Projects.
- Access the individual page of the desired project.
- Navigate to the "Sub-projects" section through the top menu.
- Next to the desired sub-project, click the actions button (symbol "three vertical dots").
- Click "Edit".
- Modify the desired fields and click the "Modify sub-project" button..
Marking a sub-project as complete
When a sub-project is marked as complete, users will no longer be able to record time on it.
To mark a sub-project as complete, ensure you have the necessary rights in Papervee Projects. Follow the steps below:
- Navigate to the "Projects" page in Papervee Projects.
- Access the individual page of the desired project.
- Navigate to the "Sub-projects" section through the top menu.
- Next to the desired sub-project, click the actions button (symbol "three vertical dots").
- Click "Mark as complete".
The sub-project will be found in the "Complete" sub-projects section. The sub-project can be returned to the incomplete projects section through the following steps:
- Navigate to the "Projects" page in Papervee Projects.
- Access the individual page of the desired project.
- Navigate to the "Sub-projects" section through the top menu.
- Navigate to the "Complete" section through the corresponding button.
- Next to the desired sub-project, click the actions button (symbol "three vertical dots").
- Click "Mark as incomplete".
Deleting a sub-project
Attention! Deleting a sub-project will implicitly delete the time entries associated with this sub-project.
To delete a sub-project, ensure you have the necessary rights in Papervee Projects. Follow the steps below:
- Navigate to the "Projects" page in Papervee Projects.
- Access the individual page of the desired project.
- Navigate to the "Sub-projects" section through the top menu.
- Next to the desired sub-project, click the actions button (symbol "three vertical dots").
- Click "Delete".
- To finalize, confirm the desire to delete the sub-project.
